We are getting closer

Yesterday Gina wasn’t feeling well,  so we went to the OBGYN’s office and saw the nurse practitioner. Gina was pretty swollen and her blood pressure was elevated. The doctor was worried that she was showing signs preeclampsia and sent us to the hospital for some additional tests and monitoring.

The good news is, the tests came back fine and Gina blood pressure was normal the entire time we were at the hospital. They checked Gina while we were there and she is dilated to two and 70 percent effaced. She was having some regular contractions, but she said they weren’t really strong enough to do anything. The doctor  gave us the option of staying for a few more hours to see if anything happened or go home and come back if we needed to. Gina opted to go home. When I talked to her this morning she was going to try and get some more sleep today. It could be coming soon… this is one excited mama to be!
