The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Wednesday night Jack smiled at us for the first time and I know it was on purpose because he did it three or four times in a row. It wasn’t just good it was great! Its so nice to know that he does actually know that we are talking to him.. plus he looks so cute when he smiles. Leah still doesn’t smile too much. I think she is just a serious girl. She also seems to be a few days behind Jack.. everything he does she seems to do four or five days later.

Wednesday night the kiddos also went four hours without eating.. which was also a first. Normally I would say that this was a good thing, but they didn’t really sleep much at all on Wednesday night so I’m not sure. It was a rough night and no one got much sleep.  I was so glad that my Aunt Elizabeth was coming to help out Thursday. When she got here the kids and I were a bit of a mess. It was nice to have an extra pair of hands for the day.

Last night the kids slept great. Aunt Melanie came to help out today. We are so blessed to have so many family members that are willing to come and help us. The kids will be six weeks old on Sunday and I still haven’t had more than two days alone with them.

Several people have asked me what the kids are going to be for Halloween. The original plan was to have then be two peas in a pod, but they got a little too big and can’t fit in the pod together, so we have new costumes. I won’t tell you what they are yet… but they are super cute.
