33 Months

I feel like the weeks have just been flying by. I am still working three days a week which only leaves two days during the week for playing with friends, going to the store, cleaning and laundry. We have also started swimming lessons this week so everyday after Daddy gets home we head to the pool. This makes the evening go by very quickly. Last night we came home took showers and we all climbed in to Mommy and daddy’s bed and watched despicable Me. The kids actually watched the whole movie and were being so cute we let them stay up late.

I have never really done monthly updates of the kids but I realized that I haven’t done one in a really long time so I thought we were due.

New Recipes

We have been making a lot of new recipes recently and I wanted to write them down on the blog so I don’t forget about them.  I am slightly obessed with Pinterst and I am constanly finding new things to try.

A couple weeks ago I made Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Cupcakes from Cooking Light. They were super yummy.. a great breakfast for the kids and I.

Over memorial Day I made Pioneer Woman’s Pasta Salad with Tomato, Zucchini and Feta. It was sooo yummy. If you have never checked out Pioneer Woman’s blog or seen her show on Food Network I highly recommend it. She makes the best stuff. We have never been dissappointed when making something of hers.

Last week I made Melt in Your Mouth Chicken (a recipe I found on Pinterst) and Roasted Zucchini and Carrotts they were soo yummy. I will definetly be doing this again.

Roasted Zucchini and Carrots

1. Cut Zucchini and carrots in small strips.

2. Toss with Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Rosemary

3. Bake at 425 for 20 min.

I thought it was fun to see how much the kids had grown since the beginning of the school year and thought it would be fun to see how much they have grown in the last year. What a difference a year makes. Who do you think has changed more?

Preschoolers Day Out

Jack and Leah technically missed their last day of Parents Day Out (PDO) this year so I forgot to take a picture of them for the end of the year. I took a picture Tuesday on our way to the first day of Summer PDO. The picture on the bottom is from the first day of PDO. It is crazy how much my babies have changed.

My big kids are moving to the parents day out two room.. it may not seem like a big deal but it means they move from upstairs in the church nursery to downstairs in the classrooms. It means they don’t use sippy cups anymore and it means they are growing up.

I am reminded daily that my babies are not babies. They are talking beyond their years and crack me up these days with the things that they say. They have also become extremely polite and use please and thank you all the time which makes me one proud momma. Last night we were sitting at dinner and while Leah was eating her cesar salad (yes…she was actually eating cesar salad) she looked up at me and said “you the best mommy ever.” It was the sweetest thing. Jack then chimed in that Daddy was the best Daddy ever. I have to say I think this is my favorite age so far.
